Have Swollen Eyelid. Is Purplish-black, Itchy And Burning. Eye Is Not Red. What Could Be The Reason?
My grandmother's upper eyelid just swelled up almost immediately over the last maybe hour, if not less. It's purplish-black, swollen, and she says a little itchy and slightly burning. There doesn't appear to be scratched and I didn't see any kind of bite marks. It doesn't hurt to breath and the eye itself doesn't appear red.
HI
Thank for choosing ,HCM, This couls be because of some ant like insect bite, or second possibility is your grand mother must have rubed her eye with the contaminated fingers,, now just wait for a day, it will go it self and if not then give her ibuprofen 400 mg, stop the drug as soon as swelling goes away,, if it appears again have an appoinment with opthalmologist,,, Have nice day
