My 13 year old son experience a "migrane" this summer on a golf course which consisted of blurred vision, vomiting, severe head pain and slurred speech. Was taken to an ER given fluids, fenigrin and a CBC was completed. Blood results indicated some sort of infection and was put on antibiotics. Symptoms resolved. Today I received a call from my son at school with same symptoms. I took him immediately to pediatrician. He ordered a CT which was performed. No bleeding, blockage or tumors were seen. However, I was told the lateral ventricles were mildly enlarged and an odd shape. They did not present as a mirror image. Recommended that we see a Neurologist. Can you share any insight if there is any relationship between symptoms and enlarged ventricles.
