Had Cut Underneath Foot, Red Line Appeared From Cut And Is Sore. Applied Antibiotic. Have Headache. Suggest?

Hi. My son stepped on something yesterday, am not sure what but he has a small cut underneath his foot now. Today a red line started appearing from the cut, and he says it is really sore. He is complaining of a headache. Could this be related ? I have put antiseptic cream on but am not sure if I should take him to the doctor?

Hi there, thanks for asking. The headache could be related to pain and activation of sympathetic pathways in his body. It seems to be benign and there is no reason to do any thing if it is improved after one day which seems that it will.
