Had ACL Surgery. Bruise On The Surgery Scar. Stinging Pain. Not Able To Lift The Leg. Reason?

I had ACL surgery over three years ago and after a night of drinking I woke up with a large bruise on the scar of my surgery below the knee. However, the contusion stings rather than the blunt pain of a bruise. I need to know whether I should seek medical attention. I couldn't lift my knee above my leg for the first few days, and now it's just sore

Hello,

History of ACL injury and underwent surgery.
Large bruise which you developed of late may be due to any injury to the knee.
You might be unaware due the influence of alcohol.
The bruise as subsided and there is only mild inflammation.
If you have full range of movements like you had before the occurrence of bruise without any pain then it is less likely that you may have injured the inner structures of the knee.
If it is otherwise than consult your orthopedician. Early intervention is important.
