Done urine test. What does it mean?

Urine test of my wife has been conducted and the findings are:- Quantity:- 40 ml Physical Examinition:- colour:- Pale yellow appearance:- clear reaction(PH)- acidic Specific Gravity:-1.010 deposit :-Absent Chemical Examination:- Proteins(Urine):- Present(Trace) Glucose:-Absent Ketone Bodies:-Absent Occult Blood:-Present Bile Salts:-Absent Bile Pigments:-Absent Microscope Examination:- Pus Cells:- 5-6/HPF Red Blood Cells:- 1-2/HPF Epithelial Cells:-1-2/HPF casts:- Absent Crystals:-Absent Yeast Cells:- Absent Bacteria :-Absent Mucus Threads:-Absent Trichomonas Vaginalis:- Absent Spermatozoa:-Absent Nitrogen:-Negative

it seems your wife has got urinary tract infection as there are 5-6 pus cells/ hpf. the symptoms may be some kind of burning micturition.

you must go for urine culture and sensitivity. meet your family physician. he may prescribe a course of antibiotic and some urine alkalinizer which will relieve her symptom.
