Does Withdrawal Of Dexona And Ciplactin Tablets Cause Weight Loss?
I have taken dexona and ciplatin tablets for three months to put on weight however now i am suffering from side effect.I do not feel hungry and i have become more thin than before.I was much better before consuming these tablets. The moment i stopped i lost about 15 kgs.How can i get to normal
Good Morning! Dexona can cause you to lose muscle mass and to lose weight. The weight gain most people experience is due to fluid shifts, but Dexona should not be given to gain weight. The other drug you are taking is an allergy pill with the side effect of weight gain that wears off after about 4 months of taking it.
I don't know your history, but if you were my patient I would put you on a high protein, high calorie meal plan emphasizing good fats like avocados, virgin olive oil, high calorie shakes, small frequent snacking on nuts/dry fruits. Have you tried kicking up the calories???
Please feel free to write back if I can help you further.Kathryn Shattler,MS,RDN
