Does Welding Fire Cause Red Eyes?
My husband was welding on Tuesday evening and my 2 yr old son was standing by the front door about 20 feet away and i overheard my son telling him to go inside and shut the door dont look your eyes will hurt .i noticed one eye was pink and now both are pink redish however he is at his normal behavior but i think this is why his eyes are red what do i do

Welding will lead to photo-ophthalmia because of exposure to ultraviolet rays of light.
Red eyes indicate photo-ophthalmia and it will take 24-72 hours for the condition to resolve. The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops and artificial tears eye drops.
