Does The Optic Nerve Fenestration Helps In Treating The Loss Of Peripheral Site?

My daughter has B I H and has had several shunts both lumber and ventrical with only 6months good health in the last 4yrs. For the last 18 months she has had no periphral sight and for the last month her aquity has got far worse every thing is o blur.On Saturday she had a Sub temproal decompression on the right side.so far her pressure has been stable for48 hrs. they are now talking about aopitc nerve fenesteration but Im not sure if it will benifit her .

the problem is pressure in optic path way. You have no other alternative but to go for a optic fenestration. You can take opinion of another neurosurgeon and oph ophthalmologist. and take decision.
