Does Numbness In The Finger After An Injury Heal On Its Own?

When trying to remove an avocado seed, I instead stabbed my hand just below my index finger. The stab was deep, but not wide. After bleeding for quite some time, I snuggly taped the wound. This happened a day and a half ago. I now have numbness on the inside of my index finger. Will this heal with no long term effects? Should I see a physician?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As you explain the history no i don't think you should see a physician. The would needs time for healing.

Dr.Jolanda
