Does Getting Pricked By Contaminated Needle Cause HIV?

I was sewing a project and poked my fingers a few times. Then I realize the sewing kit was my grandmothers who live with someone that is HIV positive. I dont know if he ever used the kit. The needles are in a small tube. I have had the kit for over a year or two. Am I at risk for hiv or hepatitis B.

Assuming that needles were in a tube and stored in the tube 1-2 years ago i.e. not used.
In vitro HIV or hepatitis virus can'r survive and further more these virus require blood or some fluid ( contaminated for their survival ) as a medium .
An increased risk for HIV infection following percutaneous exposures to HIV infected needle is associated with as needle placed directly in vein or artery or deep injury ( but in your case such things were not present because these needles were with you from last 1-2 years ).
The risk of hepatitis B virus infection following a similar exposure is is 6 to 30 % in non-immune individuals if needle deeply penetrated into finger ( but in your case it was skin deep , more up to mucous membrane ).
In your case you are not at any risk of hepatitis or HIV .
