Does Discomfort In The Abdomen And Lower Back After A Fall Need Immediate Medical Attention?

I fell off a horse three weeks ago. I fell on my right side. My arm bruised up pretty well but all discoloration has now healed. I ve noticed since the fall that my abdomen (below my rib cage on my right side) has some tenderness and sometimes my lower back on the same side is uncomfortable. Not anything that will keep me from doing anything but I do know something is tender. No bruising. How long should this last for and do I need to see a doctor?

Hello,

It is normal to get some pain especially on lower back and abdomen after falling from the horse due to trauma. The tenderness will persist for a bit more longer. If you'll notice hematuria (blood in urine) or back colored stool, or throwing up should see your doctor as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care. All the best.

Regards,
