Does Jiagulan Help In Weight Loss?

I have heard that jiagulan can help with weight loss, but would like to know if this is true. Also, I am on heart pills & if I do not lose some weight my heart Dr. will put me on cholesterol pills, which I do not want to take...will it affect me taking these pills? tks

Hello dear,

Jiaogulan has been endorsed as an effective lipid lowering agent, but there are limited scientific studies to support it.
However, there have been reports of Bleeding disorders/ slow blood clotting following the use of Jiaogulan.
As you are already taking heart pills, there are chances of drug interaction with Jiaogulan, which may further aggravate the risk of bleeding disorders with even mild trauma.
So, in my opinion it will not be advisable to use Jiaogulan as a measure of weight loss.
