Does Clonidine Cause Drowsiness And Excessive Sleepiness?

alternative blood pressure meds to clonidine 0.1 mg if side effect is sleepiness/weariness. I cannot take analapril because it raises my bloood potassium. I ve also tried Amlodopine but was advised against it because I have HOCM. I am currently on 125 mg of Toprol for the HOCM and 0.1mg of Clonidine Hcl 1 bid for high blood pressure, also 20 mg of Crestor for raised cholesterol, and am struggling to make it through the day without falling asleep. PLEASE HELP! I am 67 years old, in excellent health (except for above), exercise strenuosly at a gym 5/6 days a week. Taking clonidine makes it very difficult for me to find the strength to successfully keep up with my exercise routine I am anxiously awaiting yor response. HBR1108
