Cough, Raised Red Spots In Legs, Infected With Virus. Prescribed Steroids, Patient Not Taking

My son has had a virus recently and the cough wont go i took him.back to dr today who gave him stronger steroids that hes yet to take as he wont eat or drink and hes decided to stop talking today. Hes making noise but wont open his mouth. As i just got him ready for bed i notices his legs covered in tiny raised red spots. help

Thanks for query on HCM.
I would like to avoid steroid if i have patient like you.
Only simple nsaid and plenty of liquid intake is primary treatment.
Cold water sponging is advisable during episodes of fever.
You should go for cbc,qbc,urine,sgpt,s.bilirubin investigations and take proper treatment accordingly.
Give him simple diet,more liquids like fruit juices,buttermilk,coconut water,lemon water with salt,sugar.
Red spots usually occurs in viral fever during regression phase.
Keep in touch with your doctor.
