Constant Lightheadedness, Unable To Focus, On And Off Fever, Nausea, Terrible Headache. Flu Symptoms?

My daughter is 16 and has been complaining of being dizzy but description is more like lightheadedness. Cant focus, lifting head makes it worse. Was several times a day now over has increased to constant for last several hours. No fever, no nausea...but has had an on and off, terrible headache? Maybe coming down with flu or something?!

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM

She is having headache, dizziness with no fever. As she is not having fever and other nasal symptoms most likely it's not flu. Sudden onset headache in a female may occur due to migraine. It is often associated with nausea, blurred vision, photophobia etc symptoms. I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for opinion. Medicines like triptans, propranolol, Amitryptilline etc are very useful in such presentation.

Hope this helps you, thanks
