My 17 year old niece was seen by an Optometrist today and the Dr. believes she has spinal fluid causing increased pressure to the eye, the office scheduled her for a f/u appointment for six mos. out. I am wondering if she should have been referred to an ophthalmologist for treatment or a second opinon?
Hello Welcome to health care magic. I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are diagnosed with raised intra cranial pressure. This requires examination by ophthalmologist to rule out papilledema. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
