Hi,

It may not be PAD (Peripheral arterial disease) but it seems to be an accumulation of lactic acid because of walking long distance.

Second thought it could be claudication both the conditions are pretty common in old age it is the geriatric symptoms may not indicate any disease so no need to worry.

Simple soda water can help a lot for the pain, drink soda water it could eliminate the lactic acid from the system.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
