Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

As your mother is having some infection with swelling behind the ears, which may be due to infection of the external auditory canal. As your doctor has prescribed Cepodoxime xp 325 mg, twice a day for 7 days. But she has not able to tolerate this medicine.

As she can tolerate Tab Novaclox, it can be given as it also covers wide range of microorganisms. This is also an excellent drug in case of infection of the ear and the skin. Before giving this drug, give her Tab Rantac as it can prevent acute gastritis.
Thank you.
