Can Magnesium Levels Be Increased With Daily Multi Vitamins?

hello, I am my mothers caregiver. she suffers from dementia, CHF, COPD, Diabetis, Osteo artheritis and takes medication for all of the above. recently she was taken to the ER for a fall. Blood work was done and CT Scan were all clear. She recently had a follow up appointment and more blood drawn. this time her Magnesium levels were low and her doctor recommended another trip to the ER for a magnesium infusion becasue her MD is concerned it the low level could affect her heart. Can her Magnesium levels be raised after some daily multi vitamins?

Dietary magnesium content normally ranges from 6 to 15 mmol/d
(140–360 mg/d), of which 30–40% is absorbed, mainly in the jejunum
and ileum.Regular multivitamin, multimineral tablets will help in prevention of hypomagnesaemia but it is important to consider the need for calcium, potassium, and phosphate supplementation in patients with hypomagnesemia.
