Can Eating Unhealthy Food Cause Heart Palpitations, Headache And Lightheadedness?

I am a 62 year-old female in excellent health. Over the last 48 hours, I have had faint flutters in my middle chest (no obvious heart pain), then I become light-headed, to the point of a slight headache. I have never had indigestion/heartburn, and I am wondering if the bbq I have eaten 3x has contributed to my woes. I ate 4 TUMS and feel a bit better.

Hi,

If you had visited my clinic with such symptoms I would have recommended at least an ECG test to rule out any heart problem at your age its always better to get a ECG done to be on safer side. Although it may be due to some digestion issues but ECG is must according to me.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
