Can Cervical Spondylitis Cause Dementia In A 60-year-old?

I have had memory loss and other dementia symptoms for about 6 months. Things have gotten worse within the last month. I have cervical spondylitis for about 10 years. Other than these issues I am a very fit 60 year old male. Do you think there could be a link between the dementia and the cervical spondylitis?

Hello,

There is not a link between the Cervical spondylitis and dementia. Dementia may be caused by strokes, Alzheimer's disease or other problems in the brain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
