Is it possible for someone who uses syringes (medically prescribed or drug misuse)to lose the needle into their body with out complications or even medical assistance? For and example, if injection was in fold of arm, needle detaches from syringe for whatever reason and disappears under skin or in veins, could one survive this foreign object or would it be life threatening? Aside from the obvious such as they would need to see healthcare immediately, if one chose not to what would body do?
