Can I Drive For Long Distances After A TURP Surgery?

Hi, I had Turp Surgery a week ago. I am wondering if it is acceptable to drive my car on a trip (acutally my wife would drive) of 1,200 miles. We would stop often and I could urinate during the drive if need be. We plan to take at least 2 days maybe 3 for the trip. Then, we plan to fly home after a few days, a 2.5 hour flight. The flight would be 12 days after the surgery.

Hello,

Yes you can travel, but small distance as the excretion is not good for you, you need to take proper rest at least 2-3 weeks as there is no dressing or stitching in the procedure TURP, so it can easily bleed with even a little exertion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
