Blurred Vision, Sensitive Eyes To Artificial Light After Childbirth. Detected Hormonal Or Water Retention. Time To Heal?

Hi since having my baby 10 weeks ago my vision has become blurred and really sensitive to artificial light . I have been to optician and eye clinic and also to the doctors and had my bloods checked and everything was fine . I was told by my health visitor that it may be hormonal or due to water retention but my doctor has never heard of this . If this is the case how long does it last or what can it be .

Even if there is retention of fluid in body following child birth,it's unlikely to get accumulated in eye and affect optics of eye.

Sometimes post pregnancy there may mild retinal hemorrhage that may be the cause of symptoms. suggest u to get fundus examination done by opthalmologist to know the cause of symptoms.

Wishing you safe motherhood

Take care
