Are There Any Non-surgical Procedures For Shrinking Thyroid Nodules?

HI, I have thyroid nodules of 5.4cms on left side which is benign and also on right side of 2.4cms. THS level T3 and T4 are all normal. But the doctor suggested for surgery as he says its growing fast. But i fear of being in medication after surgery. Is there any medication so the nodules can be shrinked

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If the lesion is not stable and growing fast then it has to be removed, thyroid nodules demands several tests and from the results of that test advice being given or opinion can be given, no medicine is there for the thyroid enlarged gland unless it is just the inflammation due to some infection or injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
