Are Pain In The Center Of The Chest And Sweating A Cause For Concern?

I ve been having chest pain in the center of my chest that goes straight to the middle of my back. It s painful, but not excruciating. I also break out in a wash of sweat with it. I ve had it before and been checked by a dr and they didn t find anything. I ve had costochondritis before, but I m not sure if I had this kind of pain with it. I have lupus, RA, fibromyalgia, all active.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in the middle of the chest is probably related to acid reflux. I suggest using Maalox three times a day. I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg in the morning before breakfast.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
