Are Inflamed Taste Buds And Discomfort In Lymph Node Due To HIV Infection?

Hi Doctor, the taste buds at the tip of my tongue have been inflamed for over 3 weeks and i continuously experience uncomfort in my lymph node under my jaw and a stiff neck. Are these signs of acute hiv infection? the risk incident(performing and receiving oral sex on a girl) happened 4 weeks ago, so far all my hiv tests are negative, including a viral load test 8 days after the incident and a antibody test today

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern regarding hiv. But hiv doesn't produce symptoms in early days. Your symptoms may be due to some other infection. Still you have chance of hiv. you should go for confirmatory hiv testing once after a month of exposure. You can go with p24 antigen or pcr.
hope i have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. wish you a very good health.
