Are Headaches Related To Less Breast Milk Production?

I just gave birth to my daughter three weeks ago. my breastmilk has randomly stopped coming in and i have had a constant headache for 3 days now accompanied with a bruised feeling on my eyebrows. Even when I pump i am only getting about a quarter ounce on each side where I was getting 3 to 4 ounces. I stopped producing around the time this headache and eyebrow pain set in.

Thank you for choosing HCM

Based on the symptoms that you are getting it is possible that you have Sheehan's syndrome. Sheehan's syndrome occurs after pregnancy and causes pituitary necrosis after pregnancy.

The symptoms of this are:
Reduced milk production
Amenorrhea
Reduced thyroid function
Fatigue
Other symptoms related to hormones

Treatment of Sheehan's is by replacing the hormones. Please confirm the diagnosis with your Doctor. All the best.

Hope this helps you
