Brief Answer:
Diet restrictions

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

Do you have any symptoms?

If only uric acid is raised but no symptoms, then medicine is not needed. Only lifestyle measures are needed like drinking lots of water, avoiding alcohol, avoid medicines that can increase uric acid, regular exercise. Some foods also tend to increase uric acid like non-veg foods, spinach, mushrooms. So these can also be avoided. Kidney function test should also be done.

If symptoms like ankle pain, knee pain, joint swelling , etc are present that cannot be explained by other causes like osteoarthritis etc, and kidney function is normal, then medicine like febuxostat maybe taken for sometime under doctor's guidance.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
