Hello, welcome to ask a doctor services. I have read your question.

You are suffering from eye infection that you describe as pink eye. Your symptom is indicative of conjunctivitis.

You are suggested to give your eyes rest. Do not strain unnecessarily. Clean your eyes with a wet cloth. Apply warm and cold compress several times a day, it will give you relieve.

You can apply artificial tear eye drops (3-4 drops) in both the eyes 2-3 times a day. For relieve from pain you can take analgesic like acetaminophen, one stat when needed.

Get clinically examined by a local Eye specialist. You will be prescribed antibiotic eye drops if you have got bacterial conjunctivitis.

Most conjunctivitis are viral, you will be treated with steroid eye drops and antiviral medicines. It can take 2-3 weeks to get well.

For allergic conjunctivitis you can take antihistamine orally at bedtime for 5-7 days.

Sometimes, pink eye can be caused by serious bacterial infection and sexually transmitted disease. Get examined to rule out these infection.

Hope I have answered your question. Take care.
