Brief Answer:
Soft tissue of hand injury possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

The pain you are currently feeling is as a result of the accident you had and injured wrist and hand. It would be better if possible to do a x-ray of wrist and hand to check for possible fractures or cracks.
In my opinion I don't believe it can be a fracture since you can freely move it despite pain and you hit it on wall rather than floor, falling and exerting a larger force as all body weight supports on it.
The pain is possibly caused by hurting soft tissues.
You can reduce movement as much as you can and keep it on rest.
Keep hand elevated in order to reduce swelling.
Put ice compresses in it to reduce pain and swelling.
Use antinflamatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen for pain.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
