Posted on Wed, 5 Dec 2018
Question: my husband wakes up around 4 AM with a headache that he can put his finger on, consistently. In the ER he had a day last week when his blood pressure spiked at 225/110 for several hours and then back down to 140/90. He had a CAT scan showing no results. This has been going on for several weeks now.

Brief Answer:
Some more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar, a neurologist, here to answer your query.

High Blood pressure is a common cause of headache and its control often improves headache. This is particularly relevant here because CT scan of brain has turned out to be normal.
Further, I would like to know some details in order to answer this well-
1) Is headache associated with vomiting sensation?
2)Is headache associated with stress?
3)Does headache increases with exposure to light or sound?

I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with details so that I can answer this well further.

Regards,

Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
