Hello!

Welcome on -Ask a Doctor- service

Regarding your concern I would explain that first it is necessary to distinguish the real cause of your dad's complaint of dizziness, whether it is low blood pressure only or it is also a low heart rate.

This latter clinical condition could be due to several heart rhythm and conductance disorders, like heart block, extreme sinus bradycardia, etc.

So, I would recommend first to discuss with his attending doctor for cardiac checkup including a resting ECG.

Coming to his low blood pressure, systolic BP values of less that 100 mmHg especially when associated with several complaints like fatigue, dizziness, lightheadedness, near fainting, etc. should be seriously considered and if persistent then a prompt medical assistance would be necessary to the nearest emergency service at your living area.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
