Question: hi,

For the last month ive had what i assumed to be a blind pimple next to my eye on my temple. i tried squeezing it multiple times (10) until i learned that this should not be done. the lump started off quite small approx 0.5cm x 0.5cm and now feels aprox 1.5cm x 1.5cm. it is red but it doesnt hurt u less being touched.

the night before last i woke up with a very swollen right eye area both under and above the eye for no reason known to myself. I applied ice and it improved throighout the day. this morning when i woke up it was swollen again. there is no redness fo the eye just swelling

i applied a cool towel and also took Pseudoephidrene 60mg x1 at 10am and 2pm to ease the swelling, as well as 1x 15mg meloxicam which i take reguarley for my existing conditions.

could the pimple have popped and infected the area? im currently on holiday in berlin but travelling to Krakow in the morning so im a bit hesitant to see a doctor due to costs. i have attached a photo of the lump now wjth reduced swelling as well as the swelling from this morning.

im a 19 year old male 65kg and approz 175cm tall with the following conditions

Multiple epiphyseal dysplasia
Juvenile arthritis
Hyper mobility
Talipes left foot

Brief Answer:
Take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history, sen the photos and understood the concerns.
As per the history and photos this looks to be infected pimple/boil. It has elevated above surface, redness is present. The popping encourages to spread edema, redness and infection to the surrounding area hence edema of eyelids too.
I would advise the following in such a condition:
Do not fondle the area.
Take an anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Many a times such lesions usually settle on its own.
Rarely need an antibiotic as would be prescribed by your Doctor.
Do not worry at the moment.
Please give feedback tomorrow to see the settlement and give feedback.

I hope this answers your query and helps you for early recovery.
