Brief Answer:
periods can normally be delayed for up to a week

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting us with your health question...

Periods can be delayed for up to a week. It is completely normal.
If she does not get her period in the next week, then please take a home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

At this point, it is too early to tell if she is pregnant or not.

Hope this answers your question

okay thank you! she also changed her exercise patterns on may 31st and has been working out regularly since than. i have heard that exercise can have something too do with delaying your period and in some cases you might even skip it for that month entirely. is that something you can concur with?

Brief Answer:
Exercise and menstrual cycle

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

Starting a new exercise regime can cause mild alterations in the period. However, mild to moderate exercise would not affect the menstrual cycle much.

Skipping and absent periods usually only occur with very vigorous exercise and diet regimes.

Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried about

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

The new exercise and dietary changes could very well be contributing to delay in the menstrual cycle. Any stressors can induce such changes.

There is nothing to be worried about as long as a healthy exercise and dietary regimen are followed.
