Brief Answer:
She should take Broad spectrum Antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pic.
The wound over face got infected.
Culture and sensitivity of the pus has to be done.Appropriate Antibiotiic will be known.Till culture and sensitivity report,a Broad spectrum Antibiotic like Faropenem tablet 200mg along with another Antibiotic like Linezolid tablet 600mg which acts very well on Gram positive bacteria has to be given.
Anti inflammatory tablet which contains Aceclofenac should be given.
Regular cleaning and dressing has to be done.
Nothing to worry. It will be healed.
Please consult a Surgeon and proceed further.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish her good health and speedy recovery
Regards

Thank you Dr. Perigela,

At your direction we immediately went to an urgent care facility, not a surgeon. Against my better judgment with COVID. Urgent care doctor prescribed Cephalexin 500mg and did In fact pulled a culture and should see results in 2-3 days. No anti inflammatory prescribed. UC doctor did not seem alarmed by wound. Asked us not to change dressing as frequently as we have. Suggested 2-3 times per day(24hr) Okay to rinse with plain water but not aggressively. Applying Neosporon under bandage. Do you concur? Thank you. Mr. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Please follow the doctor's instructions.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The doctor gave the correct suggestions.

Dressing of the wound 2 times in a day is enough. Instead of water, you can clean the wound with POVIDONE IODINE solution and apply Neosporin Ointment beneath the dressing.
Once the culture report comes, appropriate antibiotics will be prescribed.

I generally add Anti-inflammatory tablets to my patients.
The face has a very good healing capacity due to a rich blood supply. So, nothing to worry about.

Hope I answered your question.
Regards
