Question: facing severe neck ache behind my neck towards left since a week. I'm a professional cinematographer, at times I freeze on uncomfortable poster while shooting. Though I warm up stretching a lot before shooting, I'm facing this for the first time.

Brief Answer:
Further Clinical evaluation necessary...

Detailed Answer:
Hello there,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...

Well, the pain and apparent freezing feeling could be due to some nerve compression at the mid-lower neck regional (intervertebral disk space) which usually runs downwards to the extremities...

Since there's numbness, you should get yourself checked up by an Orthopedics, a thorough clinical examination along with some relevant investigations (Lumbo-Sacral spinal X-ray, Metabolic profile assessment) may also be needed thereafter...Treatment will be depending on the findings...

Meanwhile, for symptomatic relief, take complete rest...avoid twisting/bending the neck, sit in an upright posture and, refrain from any unsupervised exercises for the time being as well...

You may take tab Hifenac-P after some food for the next 2-3days...

Take Care
Kind Regards
