How Is The Spermcheck Home Sperm Test Conducted To Check One’s Fertility?

Question: Hi doc i am a male 28 not married

I am a representative in Medical devices i recently did of those sperm checks and followed the procedure and it had come up with a positive result saying my sperm is good.

I did 1 thing incorrect in the test i.e There was a pipette which you suck the sperm sample by and there is a recommended guidline of how much u need.

What i did was from the bowl where i ejaculated i put just a little extra sperm in with the buffer solution.

Now my question is just because i put in some extra sperm in there before mixing that wouldnt make it into a good result. The Control was ok and the test wasnt invalid it was ok?

Please can you give your expert advice. If the sperm count was low in the first place i am guessing it would have been a negative result even if more sperm was added?

That is the kit i used can you just clarify for me it shouldnt really matter if there were a few extra drops put in as if the sample is low it would be low right?

Do you think worrying about a issue that small where the test has come positive i may need to get some help with anxiety

Thanks
doctor

Brief Answer:
We do semen analysis in maklerchamber and give reports as per WHO guideline

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am not familiar with these kits.we usually allow the semen to liquefy
normally and wait maximum for 1 hr .
If not liquified, we mix well with repeated pipetting or syringing very gently to mix well.
Once done one drop is put in the chamber and microscopy done.Am a trained semenonolgist doing regular semen analysis. We also do staining
for morphology.
If your results are not satisfactory get it done from a reliable lab.
Your question is incomplete.
Please feel free to ask your doubts with more details
hope my answer helps you

What if more then one drop is used? It shouldnt make a difference in the result?

As if the sperm count is low it will be low?

Count will be same with one drop or more

Detailed Answer:
Hi
It will be difficult to see under microscope when volume is more.Count may not affect with volume .
As suggested it may be repeated after 2 weeks.
There are other parameters other than count.we need to assess motility and morphology.
