Brief Answer:
Causes of thin nails

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern
The most common cause of thin/weak nails is frequent exposure to water as the process of wetting and drying causes the nails to become weak. Another common cause is vitamin and mineral deficiencies like B complex vitamins (especially biotin), calcium, and zinc. Medical conditions like anemia, thyroid disorders, and certain skin diseases like lichen planus or psoriasis can also cause weak nails.
