Brief Answer:
Pregnancy test is 97 percent accurate after at least 15 days following sex

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Regarding home pregnancy test, the test has an accuracy of over 97 percent when done at least 15 days following sexual intercourse.

This is because the pregnancy hormone requires a certain duration of time after conception so that it can be found in sufficient levels in urine to make the test result positive.

If done earlier, the results will not be able to indicate accurate results.

In your case, keeping in mind that your ovulation peak was around 3 March 2015, it is better to wait for at least 15 days from the last probable unprotected sexual intercourse during your ovulation. This might be any day after 18 March 2015, please match your probable dates.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
