Brief Answer:
Stop the formula feeding right away.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Stop the formula milk right away and start feeding your baby exclusively from the breast. Whoever advised you to start formula feeding is absolutely wrong. The problem starts with people telling you that there is not enough milk for the baby.

In fact this constant negative comments by others is what is responsible for actual reduction in the amount of breast milk production. The more the mother feeds the baby, the more milk is produced.

The mother should remember to feed the baby every 2 to 2 and a half hours once whether the baby is awake or sleeping. She should continue to feed the baby from one side (either left or right breast) for at least 20 minutes before changing the side. Longer periods of sucking at a single breast will empty the breast and that is essential for producing more milk.

Formula feeding discourages the baby from sucking well at the breast and that makes the cycle of poor feeding worse. The mother should constantly keep touching the baby and rub baby's toes and feet to keep the baby awake while feeding.

And follow my directions, and if you have doubts, please contact the customer care to talk to me directly tomorrow.

Hope this will help.
Best regards
