My doctor is saying that ur DNA fragmentation is bit higher side(34.4%)... It should be less than 27%...according to him its the reason for all five 5 failed IUI cycles.. Iui at such dna fragmentation can't be successful... Besides suggesting for medicines he added it may or may not improve ( DFI) ... Again he is saying pregnancy may happen but he wants it to be improved before ivf.. However your views are completely different... I am in a very confused state of mind... Plz elaborate sir... My wife is very sad n feeling hopeless after listening all these... As she was of the view that problem was with her.. Now she is thinking I might hv problems too...

Brief Answer:
DFI not reliable and cant be blamed for IUI failure

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I dont think DNA fragmentation is the reason for failed IUIs.

IUI success rate itself is around 10 to 20 percent and DFI cannot be the reason for failure.

Its true that DFI may not change much. IT is better to go ahead with IVF soon than wasting more time without contemplating who has the problem.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Normal DFI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

DFI is also under normal limits. Pregnancy chances are not affected by DFI of 34 %.

Your DFI is normal and needs no treatment.
