Brief Answer:
Start her with Vitamin D supplement.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Your mother is suffering from Vitamin D deficiency and this is very common in XXXXXXX
In fact most of the Indians have this deficiency.
But since she is an elderly female so Vitamin D supplement should be given to her.
The appropriate dosage for her would be Vitamin D chewable tablets or Sachets of strength 60 K widely available in market with trade names like Uprise D3 60K, D3 Must 60 K, Calcirol sachets.
They are to be given once weekly for 3 months followed by once a month for at least a year.
She should increase the morning sun exposure as well as increase milk and dairy products in diet.
Share my opinion with your doctor.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
