Question: is a reading of 116/65 blood pressure normal. I am 73 years of age and am reasonably healthy. I am on medication for high blood pressure

Yes, this reading is normal. The blood pressure medications and any lifestyle changes, would be responsible for keeping it in this range.

Normal blood pressure is defined as below 120/80. When a persons blood pressure drops to below 90/60 it can be considered too low.
If they have symptoms at the low blood pressure then it is treated, if they have no symptoms and the BP is only slightly low then no treatment may be needed.

Your reading would be considered good.
