Brief Answer:
This fetus was measured at 8 weeks one day +/- 5 days

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help answer your question today.

The ultrasound report you posted shows a fetus of 8 weeks and one day gestation. That means that the fetus was conceived about 6 weeks before the date the ultrasound was done. There are two dates listed at the top of the ultrasound, one I. April and one in XXXXXXX If I knew the date the ultrasound was performed, I could estimate the conception date. Ultrasounds have a 5 day margin of error, so no matter what, there is no way to know the conception date 100 percent.

So in summary, the photo shows an approximately 8.1 week fetus. I could calculate the approximate conception date within a 5 day accuracy.

I hope I was able to at least partially answer your question. If you would please let me know the date this ultrasound was performed, then I will be able to give you the conception date.

Regards,

Dr. Brown

Brief Answer:
This means the estimate date of conception is April 25

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

So based on that ultrasound measurement, the estimated date of conception is around the 25th of April, with a range between the 20th to the 30th. There is no way, to more accurately know the date of conception, because a woman does not necessarily conceive immediately after having sex. Sperm can stay alive in the female genital tract for up to 5 days, and the fertilized egg takes varying amounts of time to implant. So a woman may not "conceive" until a few days even after a single sexual act.

I hope that this additional information is helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown

Hey Doctor , I had sex with her on April 5,2016. Can I possibly be responsible for her conception?

Brief Answer:
No, that would not be possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

If you had sex with her at the beginning of April, there is really no way you could be the father of this baby, as conception for this fetus could not have happened before April 20th.

I hope this finally can give you peace of mind about this situation.

Good luck-

Dr. Brown
