Question: hello. what would cause the body to develop problems regarding bacteria and I assuming its too much bacteria. my shift button doesn't work so please bare with me on question marks etc. lol problems include intestinal digestive gi issues like light diahrea sometimes or having to go the bathroom to deficate and its loose. soon after eating every meal or consuming just about anything when not taking 2 billion worth of chewable over the counter probiotic [which is good bacteria I'm assuming] after or with the meal or a snack works better actually. my gi doctor has and asked him to do many tests. says everything looks fine.

revision-correction to the last entry. So the bathroom problems are back as far as that goes because [CORRECTION] REVISED; of the antibiotics that were given. which wreaked havoc on my gi system even sufficent time after the use of the antibiotics . causing after the loose bowel and or frequently going, light diarrhea, without use of the over the counter acidophilus tablets 1 billion organisms. long term use has some possible side affects It is possible to develop oral thrush, a new yeast infection, white patches in your mouth.

I probably confused the hell out of you with this lol. kept on writing info in the medications tried part of the patient profile to help with the gi problems at hand. so basically continued into the medications tried part.

Brief Answer:

Could be due to irritable bowel syndrome

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Usually, the condition resolves in a week or so. However, the frequency of passage of stool could be due to irritable bowel syndrome and not recurrent infections.

Antibiotics can disturb the normal bacterial content of the intestines that that itself can lead to diarrhea. Taking curd or yogurt can help since it contains beneficial bacteria.

Taking probiotic is another alternative (which I see you're already doing).

Try avoiding milk products (except curd), fruit juice and wheat products for a couple of weeks and see if it helps. Chances are that it would.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
