Brief Answer:
Examination of stool for ova/parasites advised...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

To determine whether you have the same worms as your puppy, I highly advise to run examination of your stool (yours and puppy) for ova/parasites.

Usually, the strains of worms infecting animals do not infect humans. However, there are some other strains that can affect both. That's why, I highly recommend to run this examination to give the final conclusion.

For the moment, I can only advise to keep your puppy and everything he touches well cleaned and disinfected.

If you are sure that your puppy has worms, get anti-worm drugs at puppy's pharmacy.

Hope it helped!

Thankyou.

Yes I am sure the puppys worms have gone as he had a bad case of them & was treated immediately & they had gone 2 weeks ago. I have only seen this In mine today & I'm unsure if I am just being paranoid.

Does it sound like I have worms too- is there any way to treat it if so?

Brief Answer:
Can be completely treated if they are correctly diagnosed...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Thank you for your follow up query.

In your case, I highly recommend to run the examination as mentioned earlier. Sometimes, food fiber can have the same aspect as tiny worms unless you see them move.

Next, worms eggs cannot be visually seen, they are noted only under microscopy. The larvae forms can be visually seen.

Once the diagnosis is made, you can completely treat them without any problem. However, you should determine the type of worms or other parasites first as you might need multiple medications and treatment (not just taking them once) to fully eradicate intestinal parasitic infections.

Hope it helped!
