What Do Lightheadedness And BP Of 207/102 Indicate?

Question: Light headed for two days. Checked B.P. 207. 102.
After 10 day cruise. Went 1 day - feeling normal and then 2 days light headed. Checked BP at market.
I have never had it so high. Took a meclizine 25 mg. will see doc tomorrow. Or?

I recommend you go in to the ER and not wait until tomorrow. A systolic blood pressure over 180 is a hypertensive urgency and requires that you need to have it brought down slowly and carefully while being monitored. So please go in to the ER. If your blood pressure remains this high, it can cause organ damage. If it is brought down too rapidly without monitoring, it can also cause problems. So don't wait for tomorrow, please go in to be seen now.

Your pressure may be lower now having taken the meclizine, but go in any way and tell the ER staff what your pressure was, and about the light headedness as both are significant to share with the staff.
