What Could Cause The Eyelashes Of Only One Eye To Grow More In Length And Volume?
Question: Hello, again Dr. Parinam. I went to the ophthalmologist who told me that all I needed was to trim the eyelashes of my upper left eye that were too long. He trimmed them and that seems to have solved the problem. But he couldn't explain why this should have developed only recently and only in one eye, although I have noticed that I seem to have more eyelashes in that eye than in the other eye. Why should this have developed this way and only in one eye? I never really noticed it until about a week ago. Is it likely they will regrow and I'll have to do it regularly? He does not think it has anything to do with my eyelid skin. Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Eye lashes.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You most probably do not need re-trimming of the eye lashes to grow. If there is no problem with the eye lid skin, it is a good thing. Else you should have gone under the knife fixing it.
Now the reason for larger and dense eye lashes cannot be explained easily. If you observe even the eye brows would not be the same in many people. Few hair is straight and few turned up hence requiring trimming to shape them up.
Let us check how the new lashes turn out to be before we scratch heads to find reasons. I shall still search for answers for your sake.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thank you.
