Question: today after I walked for a couple of miles I noticed an irriation where my pnties were rubbing ith inside of my leg I'n not sure what you call that area but it doesn't hurt but it is a swollen lum. What's going on

I have gone through your question and I understood your problem.

This might be due to Friction over a long period.No need to worry at all.Stop wearing tight panties. Also you can use skin softeners which will further help reduce the friction and hence the symptoms.

In my clinic hot fomenting the lump is what I prefer and has given nice results.
